Rodin Museum
My favorite art museums are usually small and dedicated to a single artist. You can walk in knowing absolutely nothing about the artist and leave feeling like you learned something interesting that you might actually remember. Typically the works are presented chronologically and you can see how the art changes to reflect the artist's personal experiences. Paris has at least two such museums for Van Gogh and Rodin. Visit the Louvre for the experience, but also visit these specialty museums for the education.
Le Penseur - The Thinker - Rodin's most popular sculpture. Described as a depiction of Dante pondering his poem in front the Gates of Hell, this work has become an icon representing all (painful?) intellectual activity.
